Many organizations today have initiatives supporting diversity and inclusion. Quite frankly, independent agencies have not always led the way when it comes to embracing these concepts and taking the necessary steps to ensure they are more than just words in a mission statement. While most people agree that it is important for any organization to have divergent opinions that eventually coalesce into shared objectives, many differ on how to achieve that outcome. We believe the only way to have diversity of opinion is to have true diversity within our independent agencies. All people are unique and bring something of value to the workplace. When we begin to appreciate and celebrate those differences, we will become better and stronger, and more effective in our communications
